Come Dine with Me has been on air since 2005 and has remained a permanent favourite for many since first airing.
So much so that even the celebrities wanted to get in on the action.

Celebrity Come Dine With Me: who has competed?
There have been multiple themed Celebrity Come Dine With Me episodes, including a series starring London-based celebs and one with Cheshire-based stars.
The first Celebrity Come Dine With Me
The first ever time Come Dine With Me switched from regular folks to famous folks was with the first episode of the second series back in 2005.
The first bunch of celebrity contestants taking part were designer Ben de Lisi, singer and actress Mica Paris, TV personality Ulrika Jonsson, actress Helen Lederer and novelist David Quantick.
After this first episode, Come Dine With Me started the following few seasons with a celebrity special.
Season three started with five celebs taking part – Rowland Rivron, Linda Robson, Anneka Rice, Toby Young and Aggie MacKenzie.
Subsequent specials included episodes in 2009 starring Yvette Fielding, Natasha Hamilton, Roy Walker, Bruce Jones and a 2013 Festive Special starring Louie Spence, Sinitta, Daniella Westbrook and former Made in Chelsea star Hugo Taylor.
There were also several themed specials earlier on, such as an Election Special in 2010, featuring politicians Edwina Currie, Derek Hatton, Rod Liddle and Brian Paddick, plus a Footballers special starring Neil Ruddock, John Fashanu, Carlton Palmer and Frank Worthington.
Hollyoaks Come Dine with Me specials
There have been two Hollyoaks themed Celebrity Come Dine with Me specials, in 2015 and 2020.
The 2015 edition starred:

- Jessica Fox (Nancy Osborne)
- Jess Ellis and Kirsty-Leigh Porter (sisters Tegan and Leela Lomax)

In 2020, a special series of Come Dine with Me aired to celebrate 25 years of Hollyoaks starring some of the soaps most famous characters.
Gary Lucy (Luke Morgan), Jorgie Porter (Theresa McQueen), Ruby O’Donnell (Peri Lomax), Rishi Nair (Sami Maalik) and Jeremy Edwards (Kurt Benson) took part.
Who took part in Celebrity Come Dine with Me 2020?
In 2020, another star-studded edition of the show aired, with the episodes split into cities, with two rounds taking place in London and one in Cheshire.
Taking part in the first London-based competition were Love Island star Jack Fincham, former boybander Abz Love, Tracy Beaker star Dani Harmer, Mark Francis from Made in Chelsea and Pants on Fire comedy duo Donna Preston and Verona Rose.
The second round of celebs cooking up a storm were Anthea Turner, Love Islander Marcel Somerville, comedian Amelia Dimoldenberg, Dave Benson Phillips from children’s TV and presenter AJ Odudu.
The 2020 series of Celebrity Come Dine with Me also took us up north for a few weeks.
Taking part was Tattoo Fixer Jay Hutton, Coronation Street’s Ashley Peacock – real name Steven Arnold, – Real Housewives of Cheshire star Dawn Ward, The Office star Ewen MacIntosh and Geordie Shore’s Charlotte Crosby.
Wrapping it all up in a festive bow was a Christmassy Celebrity Come Dine with Me.
Drag Race royalty Courtney Act, Ex on the Beach’s Charlotte Lawson, internet prankster Stevo the Madman, presenters Dick and Dom and showbiz legend Debbie McGee took part.
Come Dine With Me airs on weekday mornings on Channel 4.
