A new study by a sports betting website found NBA star LeBron James takes more abuse on social media than any other athlete.

Chris Pugh wrote an article for the Akron Beacon Journal detailing the massive trolling that James, an Akron native, deals with regularly.

From June 2020 to June 2021, James received more than 122,500 abuse messages on Twitter, Pugh wrote.

About 55% of U.S. internet users observe trolling on social media platforms at least several times a week, according to Statista.
