Commenting on the early days of her time as part of the Firm, one royal biographer claimed her LA background based in stardom and celebrity clashed with how the Royal Family acts. The Duchess of Sussex had made her name on the US TV hit, Suits but did not fit into the institution that is the Royal Family, Penny Junor has claimed. Not only did Ms Junor claim the Duchess had been too “showbiz-y” for the Firm but that the comments made to Oprah Winfrey should not have been made public.
Speaking on the ITV documentary, “Harry & William: What Went Wrong?”, Ms Junor revealed she had been “appalled” by the interview with Oprah.
She said: “Our Royal Family are not celebrities
“They are working members of a public institution.
“I was appalled by the Oprah interview.

Meghan and Prince Harry stood back from the Royal Family in order to become financially independent and to halt the media attention surrounding their lives.
Since the pair departed the Firm last year, they have since signed deals with Netflix and Spotify while Harry also began the three-part series, “The Me You Can’t See” with Oprah.
During the series and bombshell interview with the US TV icon, Harry and Meghan made a series of bold allegations.

The pair claimed they had been left unsupported and isolated within the Firm as their relationship gained more attention.
They also claimed one unnamed royal had commented on their son Archie’s skin colour.
During his three-part series with Apple, Harry also claimed his upbringing had been gripped with trauma.
The trauma had been passed on from Prince Charles and had also been one of the reasons Harry had broken away from the Firm.

Despite the clash with the Royal Family, Harry returned to the UK last week to unveil a statue to his late mother.
Although he and his brother have experienced a strained relationship, they unveiled the statue of their mother on what would’ve been her 60th birthday.
It was the first time the pair had come together since the death of their grandfather, Prince Philip.
