Former Gogglebox star Rev Kate Bottley, 46, became a fan favourite during her stint on Gogglebox from 2014 to 2016 along with husband Graham.
Kate and her husband, who live in Blyth, Nottinghamshire, were head-hunted for the popular Channel 4 series after a video went viral of a wedding she ministered back in 2013.
During the wedding there was a flash mob which saw Rev Kate Bottley, in her full religious get-up, dance along with most of the congregation to Kool & The Gangs hit Celebration.
The groom, Gary Richardson, shared the video to YouTube, commenting: “Whilst planning our wedding we knew we wanted something a bit different. Upholding tradition but with a modern twist.
“So when our incredibly accommodating and inspiring Vicar, Reverend Kate Bottley of St Mary and St Martin’s, Blyth, suggested a ‘flash mob’, we were sold!”
Kate then joined the Gogglebox cast less than a year later.
When Rev Kate and her husband Graham were absent from the 2016 series, fans began to ask questions as to whether the couple would be returning.
Initially, fans were reassured that the absence would be temporary as the family took some time off the show to help their daughter through her exams.
Kate replied to one fan on Twitter: “Hi, our daughter has her GCSES so we needed a break from the cameras.”
But that was back in 2016, and the Bottleys have yet to return to the Gogglebox cast.
It is thought that Rev Kate Bottley and her Violin teacher husband Graham decided to follow other pursuits after their ‘temporary’ absence from Gogglebox, including Kate’s appearance on Celebrity MasterChef.
Rev Kate fell at the final hurdle and was beaten to the final of the celebrity spin off of the famous cooking show by Ulrika Jonsson, Angellica Bell, Rebecca Adlington and DJ Dev Griffin back in 2017.
Kate has been making appearances on Songs of Praise and co-hosted the BBC Radio 2 Good Morning Sunday show with Jason Mohammad since leaving Gogglebox.
Rev Kate also appeared on Steph McGovern’s daytime Channel 4 show Steph’s Packed Lunch, where she revealed the surprising reason her mum once stopped talking to her.
Following a story that Kylie Minogue had given her own mum the sack for being distracting as a tour entourage, a strange connection emerged between the vicar and the pop sensation.
Kate was asked: “Haven’t you sacked your mum from something?”

She replied “My mum was a seamstress when she worked, she used to like make curtains and soft furnishings and stuff.
“We got to the stage when her eyesight was so bad that the curtains that she was making for my house, weren’t quite up to my exacting standards. So I had to buy some curtains!”
