  • ‘The Great British Baking Show’ Celebrity Edition Returns in March – Nerds and Beyond

 February 27

by Carolina

The Great British Baking Show will return March 9, with a celebrity edition raising awareness for Stand Up To Cancer.

The first episode will star Daisy Ridley (Star Wars), singer Alexandra Burke, comedian Tom Allen, and comedian Rob Beckett. The four celebrities will go head-to-head in the three typical baking challenges to try to win the star baker apron, judged by Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.

The Great Stand Up To Cancer Bake Off is part of a national fundraising campaign by Channel 4 and Cancer Research UK aimed to raise money and awareness for life-saving cancer research. You can donate by visiting the Stand Up To Cancer website.

The first episode will air on Channel 4 at 8 p.m. GMT. Make sure you check it out! We also recommend you head over to The Great British Baking Show twitter to check out some of the hilarious Star Wars baking puns including “Obi-Scone Kenobi” and “Choux-bacca.”

She likes to dip her toe into almost every fandom but is particularly passionate about Supernatural, Stranger Things, Marvel and Disney. When she isn’t binge watching programs, she loves to swim, sing and (true to her Ravenclaw nature) read. Lynette joined the Nerds and Beyond staff in 2019 and loves sharing her nerdy knowledge with the world.
