The nights are drawing in and Strictly Come Dancing is back to brighten things up every weekend as it makes its eagerly awaited return for 2021.
It was back in the summer of 2004 that the nation first fell in love with Strictly as it made its debut on BBC.
Former newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky won the first series and since then many others have too lifted the covered Glitterball trophy as Strictly has become a national treasure and a TV juggernaut.
The new series officially launched on Saturday night, when new judge Anton Du Beke took his seat on the panel after being announced as permanent judge a few months ago, in place of Bruno Tonioli, who is staying in the US to judge American equivalent Dancing with the Stars.
As well as getting a first look at the new judging line-up, the millions who tuned into Saturday’s launch show got to find out which professional partners this year’s Strictly stars are paired with.
