The call prompted a city-wide search, but nothing suspicious was found.
The Tamil Nadu Police were sent into overdrive last November when a caller claimed that a bomb was planted at the actor’s residence in Neelankarai. The man in question was said to be a mentally unstable person, who previously threatened to bomb the houses of actors Rajinikanth, Ajith Kumar, Edappadi K Palaniswamy and Chief Minister M K Stalin.
Last August, the Mumbai police deployed their forces at four prominent locations in the city after receiving an anonymous call about bombs being placed.
