Bachelor hunk Sam Wood has been mercilessly teased by his celebrity followers after showing off his dramatic reaction to a routine Covid-19 swab test.
On Thursday, the 41-year-old described the procedure as ‘traumatic’ after having a cotton swab placed up his nose and in his mouth to safely test for the virus – which can sometimes make people sneeze, cough or cry.
But Sam appeared to suffer from all three reactions, sharing two photos of himself to Instagram looking blurry-eyed and weepy, alongside the caption: ‘WTF. Is it just me that finds the COVID test so traumatic? Send help.’

While Sam appeared to be looking for sympathy, he didn’t get it from his thousands of followers – who took the chance to lightly tease him over the dramatic photos.
Influencer Krystal Hipwell joked: ‘That’s why the women have the babies, Sam,’ while Bachelorette star Georgia Love wrote: ‘I am HERE for this level of drama!’
Entrepreneur Lisa Messenger wrote three crying with laughter emojis, while Real Housewives of Melbourne star Kyla Kirkpatrick added: ‘I’ve had 15. You get used to it. Wiggle your hands and toes and breath!’

Sam has been spending time with his wife Snezana, their two toddlers Willow and Charlie, and Snez’s daughter from a previous marriage, Eve, during Melbourne’s sixth lockdown.
Despite it being difficult for everyone, the doting dad said the moments with his family are the ‘silver lining’ through it all.
‘No doubt these lockdowns are testing even the most positive and resilient of people,’ the trainer explained in an interview with New Idea.
Family: Sam and wife Snezana share two young daughters, Willow, three, and Charlie, two, as well as Snezana’s teenage daughter from a previous relationship, Eve, 16
‘But trying to stay strong for myself, strong for my family and find the silver linings – like my three girls spending time together – as before we know it Eve will be all grown up and it will be gone.’
Sam admits it has been ‘tough’ caring for his three children and operating a fitness empire simultaneously on the back of constant lockdowns and an unforeseen future.
His business, 28, is a fitness and nutrition site that provides detailed workout programs, meal plans and recipes.
‘I feel incredibly grateful to have a job when so many people are doing it so tough. When it’s just me at home with my girls, things are always great,’ he said.
