Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo has been spotted in a popular Chinese restaurant in Cheshire.
Fortune City on London Road, Holmes Chapel, has played host to many celebrities over the years, with Harry Styles and Taylor Swift pictured at the popular restaurant almost a decade ago whilst the pair were dating.
Beverley Callard, Sol Campbell, and Jordan Henderson have also been pictured at the restaurant, apparently enjoying the “authentic” food served.
Now, the site can allegedly add Ronaldo to the list of famous visitors.
Owner Brian Ho told CheshireLive that customers had spotted the legendary footballer at the restaurant while he was not at work.
He said: “Our more famous guests over the years are almost always involved in football, a few customers have told me Cristiano Ronaldo has visited, but I wasn’t in work that evening.
“We have a few guests from television, and quite often stars from Coronation Street, or television presenters.
“They are all very nice and are happy to sign autographs or take pictures with other guests, but as they are usually out with their families, we do try to maintain a level of privacy for them to enjoy their evening.”
Mr Ho’s parents opened the restaurant in 1985 and he still uses his father’s recipes, but has tweaked them over the years to make them his own.
He believes this authenticity of the cuisine attracts all of their customers, regardless of their celebrity status.
“I think it is that level of authenticity that attracts all our customers, whether or not they are in the public eye,” he added.
“It is something I am mindful of every time we introduce a new dish, to keep Fortune City Chinese Restaurant as just that, an authentic Chinese Restaurant that you might find in China, right here in Cheshire.

“Our customers have been so loyal and supportive to us from the beginning, a great many of them still dine at Fortune City to this very day, their children now have their own families and are patrons of Fortune City as well.
“They have all become friends on this journey with us, and something that we value very highly.”
Famous singer Harry Styles had previously paid homage to the restaurant in an interview, where he revealed his ‘strongest’ memories from his time in Cheshire.
The former One Direction star used to live next door to the establishment, and told a ‘Fine Line’ interview with Zane Lowe that he would open his window to smell the food from his “favourite restaurant” after school.
Brian Ho, owner of Fortune City, said: “He famously brought Taylor Swift for a meal a few years back and sometimes still pops in for a meal with friends and family.
“It’s always nice for someone to name us as their favourite restaurant, let alone someone who is stratospherically famous as Harry.”
