Robin Roberts invites female celebrities for an intimate and inspiring conversation in her new Disney + series, “Robin Roberts and Turn the Table.”
“This project is very personal to me and I am proud to offer it to Disney +,” Roberts said in a statement.
Unlike traditional interviews, these discussions are more straightforward and guests often interview Roberts and each other in an open format.
“It’s called” turning the table “because they point the table at me and we change the table to each other,” Roberts said in “Good Morning America.”
The four-episode series explores topics such as identity, anxiety, overcoming health and emotional problems, and discipline.
Actress and singer Sofia Carson wrote in a first-look clip shared on “Good Morning America”: “For me, discipline doesn’t know any other way, but you love it so much. Pour your heart and soul into everything you do. “
Other guests include Debbie Allen, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jenna Dewan, Sheila E, Melissa Eselridge, Mickey Guyton, Betsy Johnson, Billie Jean King, Tig Notaro, Raven Simone, Includes Josie Toter.
“We drink tea and spill tea,” Roberts teased.
Roberts is also the exclusive producer of the series, along with LeBron James and his media conglomerate, the Springhill Company.
“Turning the table with Robin Roberts” will premiere on Wednesday, July 28th at Disney +.
