Mumbai’s Bandra is famous for several reasons. From leafy, quiet by-lanes that remind you of old-world charm, to plush high-rises where several Bollywood celebrities reside, there’s so much to love about this neighbourhood. If you’ve often wondered what the homes in Bandra look like, we take you inside some of the most beautifully designed ones belonging to B-town celebs. Take a look.
1. Shah Rukh Khan & Gauri Khan’s Iconic Home, Mannat
Perhaps the most recognisable landmark of Bandra, Mannat, is home to one of India’s top celebrities SRK and Gauri. Not just a tourist spot, the area outside their home is always brimming with eager fans hoping to catch a glimpse of their favourite star. Mannat opens to views of the sea, and inside, is filled with artefacts, handpicked furniture, and a confluence of design styles—Italian, neo-classical, and a peppering of Indian elements. Gauri Khan, who runs her own design company has painstakingly made Mannat a fabulously curated home of personal style, elegance and maximalist grandeur, along with the help of architect-designer Kaif Faquih.

2. John Abraham’s Home-in-the-Sky
Named ‘villa in the sky’ John Abraham’s luxe penthouse in Bandra West is in a residential complex where two apartments were converted into one modern two-storey flat. Spanning across 4,000-square-feet, it offers uninterrupted views of the Arabian Sea through its floor-to-ceiling windows. The minimalistic home is designed by John’s family’s firm Abraham John, and is conceptualised by his brother Alan. The team used local wood and green construction practices wherever possible, making this home an award-winning and surely envy-inducing space.

3. Lisa Ray’s Whimsical Home
A calming retreat in the midst of a manic city like Mumbai is not very common. But Lisa Ray chanced upon a large, covered outdoor space in Bandra and decided to seal the deal and turn it into her sanctuary. She commissioned the designing to author-cum-interior architect Siddharth Dhanvant Shanghvi after witnessing his aesthetics in his Goan home. “I wanted a lived-in feeling for the flat, like it was an ancestral home that had been passed on.” The home has a Wabi Sabi design style with a warmth and personality. Custom-made furniture, decor pieces from Jaipur and Goa, artwork, and planters, make this home a relaxed space.

4. Sidharth Malhotra’s Bachelor Pad
A stylish bachelor pad designed by Gauri Khan, Sidharth’s home has masculine elements, plush furnishings, exquisite furniture pieces and more that fit in snugly in his Bandra abode. Drenched in shades of black, brown and cream, the design also features floor-to-ceiling windows to maximise the views of the city and sea. The actor has his pooch Oscar to keep him company in this stylish pad that has all the elements of a Bollywood star’s home—walk-in closet, mirrored walls, and a cosy area for some downtime.

5. Kareena and Saif Ali Khan’s Family Nest
Another celebrity power couple that calls Bandra their home is Kareena and Saif, who have a son Taimur and another baby on the way. The family resides in a high-rise in a 4-BHK apartment in Bandra, with another flat in the same building that is used as Saif’s office space and Taimur’s play area. Primarily done up in dark tones, the pop of colour is infused through Taimur’s playthings and room. Saif and Kareena’s home is cosy, restrained, warm and lived-in, with a plethora of vintage artefacts, lamps, rugs, books and photos.
