Former LA Lakers basketball player, Lamar Odom, is back on television and will do so in the new season of Celebrity Big Brother, a show in which he will seek to regain some of the fame he had in the past, as well as a huge amount of money.
The CBS show announced the celebrity guests for its third season, through a video in which each of the participants introduced themselves and gave a brief description of why they are recognized in the media and social networks.
“My name is Lamar Odom [and] people may know me for winning two championships with the LA Lakers,” Odom said in the video.
“They also may know me for marrying Khloe Kardashian. We had our own TV show. Our own reality show,” the former NBA star added.
Lamar Odom, with a past between the NBA and the Kardashian family
Odom, who played in the NBA from 1999 to 2013 with teams like LA Clippers, Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks, lived the best stage of his career with the Lakers, being champion twice (2009, 2010) alongside Kobe Bryant.
In addition, he was married to Khloe Kardashian between 2009 and 2016, but his problems with drug and alcohol addictions were reasons why he ended his relationship with the socialite and TV personality.
During that period, he had several appearances on the reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians and later the couple would have their own show, Khloé & Lamar.
Who are the guests on Celebrity Big Brother?
Among the other Celebrity Big Brother Season 3 contestants competing for a $250,000 cash prize are former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Miesha Tate, NSYNC singer Chris Kirkpatrick, comedian Chris Kattan and ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star Cynthia Bailey.
In addition, the cast will feature another Kardashian-related personality, Shanna Moakler, ex-wife of Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, who is now engaged to Kourtney Kardashian.
