Since ITV has confirmed that this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here will return to the Welsh castle used in last year’s show the rumour mill about which famous faces will be taking on Ant and Dec’s challenges is now underway.

Gwyrch Castle, in Abergele, will once again play host to celebrities from all different walks of life.

The celebrities will battle for food and the love of the public to be crowned the king or queen of the castle.

The decision from ITV comes after months of speculation around whether it would be safe and feasible to transport cast, crew and equipment across to Australia.

Eventually, the broadcaster chose Wales because of the “continued uncertainty” around Covid-19 and international travel.

The campmates as well as Ant and Dec, who recently won their 20th National Television Award in a row, will call Gwyrch Castle in Wales their new home.

Each year rumours fly around on which celebrities will be taking part.

This year Gogglebox stars, pop giants and EastEnders actors are in the mix.

One of those is EastEnders actor Jake Wood, 49, who played Max Branning on the soap from 2006 to 2021.

Love island star Olivia Attwood, who appeared on the show in 2017, said she would prefer to do I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! over Dancing On Ice.

She told the Radio Times: “I’d love to do the jungle. I’d give Dancing on Ice a go, although it does scare me.”

Jade Thirlwall, Little Mix pop star, is also tipped to go on the show in Wales.
