Tommy Bowe, Maura Higgins and Rosanna Davison were among the Irish stars to make a spooky show of themselves this Halloween.
While Halloween has taken off as a celebration here in recent years, the great and the good of the Irish celebrity world were quick to channel their inner ghosts, ghouls and witches.
These Irish stars were eager to show off their creations on social media, with some spectacular efforts, so we’ve compiled the best efforts of our Irish stars over the weekend.
Known for her impeccable style, Love Island star Maura Higgins went down a nostalgic route and transformed into Christina Aguilera from the video of her 2001 hit Lady Marmalade.
Wearing a silk bandeau bodysuit and stockings, Maura looked quite the part with her blonde curly hair extensions and shaded make-up.
Expectations were also high for influencer James Kavanagh’s Halloween costume. In 2018, he caused quite the social media stir after dressing up as his Sphynx cat in a costume/body paint effort that was equal parts brilliant and terrifying. (For evidence, see below)
This year, the influencer turned broadcaster stepped out as Marge Simpson for one of the best Irish attempts to capture the Halloween magic. Sporting a large blue wig and Marge’s iconic pink suit, James even painted his skin yellow to complete the look.
Rosanna Davison proved that simplicity is often the key to winning Halloween when she brought her children to a pumpkin patch. The mum-of-three and her kids were kitted out as a family of bees. They also recycled the costumes from last year.
Fans couldn’t get over how adorable little Sophia, Hugo and Oscar looked in their matching bee costumes.
The Virgin Media Studios also turned into a spooktacular site on Saturday morning when Elaine Crowley, Paul Ryder and Suzanne Kane rocked up in their seasonal outfits.
Viewers were greeted by Elaine dressed as a pirate, a genie-dressed Paul and Suzanne showing there’s no place like Dublin in her Wizard of Oz cosplay.
In a weekend full of hilarious and daring costumes it’s hard to pick a winner. However, if we’re forced to choose it’s hard to look past comedian’s Justine Stafford’s hilarious baby Guinness costume.
