The new series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here returned to screens on Sunday night, but viewers of the show were left confused about where the celebrities were.

People took to Twitter to say they were finding it hard to get into the show as they didn’t recognise anyone from the series line-up.

One person said: “I’m struggling to get into it as I’m not familiar with any of the celebrities?!”

Another commented: “Struggling for ‘celebs’ on I’m a celeb this year aren’t they. Jeez”.

While a third joked: “ITV have just announced that they are going to make a Celebrity version of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.”

The line up of Broadcaster and ex BBC Breakfast Host – Louise Minchin, Olympic Gold Medallist – Matty Lee, Radio 1Xtra DJ – Snoochie Shy, TV Presenter and Journalist – Richard Madeley, Choreographer – Dame Arlene Phillips, DBE, Music Producer– Naughty Boy, Paralympic Gold Medallist– Kadeena Cox, MBE, Football Legend – David Ginola, Pop Star & Presenter – Frankie Bridge and Former Emmerdale star – Danny Miller didn’t seem to be cutting it for some viewers.

Ant and Dec on first show of the series

As another person said: “I think Naughty Boy dropped on purpose for her but I honestly dunno any of their names”.

Others commented that the first challenge, which saw the celebrities go head to head while suspended on a ledge to press a button with their foot the quickest, was too slow paced.

One said: “would be finished at 10pm if we weren’t waiting all night for a bloody green light!”

Another said: “Can they not rush through this bit? It’s boring”.

While others said, the Wales setting just wasn’t the same.

They said: “is not the same in wales compared to Australia”.

Some viewers begged the show’s hosts Ant and Dec and the campmates to call music producer Naughty Boy by his real name Shahid Khan.

They said: “It’s gonna be a long 3 weeks if they keep calling Naughty Boy Naughty Boy. Bit of a mouthful, innit?”

Another person said: “are we really going to call him naughty boy and not his actual name for the next three weeks … please”.
