I Am A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here will grace our screens again this year as it returns to the Welsh castle with a set of celebrities and bushtucker trials.
The beloved ITV show, which is usually hosted in the Gold Coast, Australia, will stay in the UK this year because of issues and risks relating to COVID-19. Nevertheless, many celebrities’ names have been thrown in the ring for this year’s lineup.
Reality, TV and radio stars have been mentioned to appear in the show’s 21st series, with a start date yet to be confirmed.
Names rumoured to sign up include a long-standing Eastenders star, a former Strictly Coming Dancing judge and a gold medal Olympian with some outrightly expressing a strong interest to be featured in the lineup.
Regulars Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are set to return to host the primetime show
Adam had been a hot favourite to appear in this year’s I’m A Celeb as he has been considered to be a top pick for ITV executives while he’s presently off Eastenders.
The actor is well-known for his long-standing role as Ian Beale on the BBC award-winning soap.
Adam is reportedly keen to show viewers a different side to him as bosses offered him a “bumper pay deal”.
A source said: “It’s a huge coup to have reached this point, and everyone is very excited about having him on the show. He’s a brilliant addition”.
Following his spectacular triumph in Tokyo, producers have set their eyes on the Olympian champion.
A spokesperson for Ladbrokes, Alex Apati said: “Tom Daley is finally an Olympic champion, and there’s all the chance ITV chiefs snap him up for the next series of I’m A Celeb, as they look to assemble their strongest line-up yet.”
Tom’s last appearance on reality television was on his own programme, Splash!, which aired in 2013 and featured celebrities learning to dive.
The talented diver also did Tom Daley Goes Global in 2014, a six-part travel ITV2 series where he backpacked all around the world with best friend Sophie Lee.
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Baga Chipz expressed interest in doing this series.
Talking to Heat, the London drag queen said: “I’m a bit of a lazy cow when it comes to telly. [I’d do] anything where I can sit down, like I’m A Celeb. You can put anything in my gob. I’d get ten stars. I’d eat anything.
“I don’t think they’d be ready for me. You know how you had your Lady C and your Kim Woodburn? I’d be one of them. I’d be the talking point of the show, put it that way.”
As well as RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, Baga Chipz appeared on X Factor: Celebrity, The Celebrity Circle and Celebrity Karaoke Club.
Arlene is one of the latest celebrities to be rumoured to sign up on the ITV show, which the former Strictly Come Dancing judge would be the oldest person to ever appear on the show.
The choregrapher turned 78 in May, making her six years older than Caitlyn Jenner when she first entered the jungle.
Lifting the lid on her rumoured appearance, a source told The Mirror: “Arlene is straight-talking and has been around the block a few times – she’s strong and tough and could easily waltz off with the prize.
“Her energy is boundless. No doubt she’ll have the group dancing around the campfire in a bid to beat the cold and keep morale high.
After trying to find Love on an island and dating members of the public on Celebs Go Dating, Olivia Atwood wants to try her luck in the jungle.
The TV personality is no stranger to reality TV with her ongoing ITV show Olivia Meets Her Match with her footballer fiancee Bradley Dack.
Talking to RadioTimes.com, she said: “I’d love to do the jungle. I’d give Dancing on Ice a go, although it does scare me. I’m a bit of a baby, so I don’t like getting hurt. I feel like the minute I fall over once, I’d be done. I know it sounds dramatic, but I’m just a bit like that. For me, the jungle is less scary. So I’d love to do the jungle.”
She added: “Well, I thought I’d be awful and there was no option for me to do it at all, but I went out a couple years ago and did Extra Camp, and they made me do a trial and I actually smashed it.”
Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall express her interest in starring on the show, which could be a potential solo project while both of her bandmates are on maternity leave.,
Jade has appeared on a range of reality shows since the band won X-Factor in 2011 including Celebrity Gogglebox and Celebrity Bake Off.
When asked whether she would do I’m A Celeb on Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston’s Heart FM show, the Geordie pop star said: “I’ll try anything once me, do you know what I mean? I’ll give it a crack.”
She added: “If something smells bad I won’t put it in my mouth, but I am good at creepy crawlies.”
The Vivienne, also known as James Lee Williams, won the inaugural UK edition of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Speaking on Lorraine about her career, host Lorriane asked the drag queen superstar if going into the jungle was part of her career plan.
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK winner The Vivienne said: “Do you know what, I’ve never thought about it but what an absolutely amazing opportunity that would be!”
Proving that she would be open to being on the series she added: “Get me to that jungle, what a great life opportunity. I am all for that!”
Lorraine then hinted that she is going to pull some strings with ITV bosses to make it happen as she replied: “I’m going to make a call!”
Controversial news prester Piers Morgan has always been thrown into the mix every year and sometimes teases and fuels the speculations by revealing he would go on with a catch.
When asked by a fan what would it take for him to go on the show, the former Good Morning Britain presenter said £10 million.
Ant and co-star Dec have both shared in the past that they would be keen to get the former newspaper editor in the jungle and Ant says now would be the perfect time for bolshy Piers to sign up following his departure from GMB.
Maya Jama has been linked to the line-up after she quit her Radio 1 job last May to pursue more “exciting opportunities”.
Bookmaker Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead said: “We think Maya would be a massive coup for ITV if they could get her to be a contestant on I’m a Celeb, she’d be perfect for the show.
“The match made in heaven could well happen too and we make it odds on that she does enter the jungle.”
