OCALA, FL, February 23, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ – Dr. Fredrick Jacobs wears many hats, but two of the most prominent are entrepreneur and media personality. For his latest venture, Celebrity’s Soul Food®, he’s melded the two worlds that he knows so well. The premium soul food restaurant is the first national chain of its kind in the United States and Dr. Jacobs is prepared to grow it like he has his other business opportunities.
In the entertainment realm, Dr. Jacobs is an experienced TV host, as well as co-host of the radio program “Dr. J the Counselor,” which airs on music legend Stevie Wonder’s LA-based KJLH 102.3 FM. The show offers relationship advice and allows him to combine his pastoral hat with that of on-air personality. He has also engaged with entertainers through his executive catering company, which has serviced the likes of Steve Harvey, Kirk Franklin, Fantasia, SWV, Stoney Jackson, Monica, Warren G, Flex Alexander, Shanice Wilson, Ashanti, and more.
“Having been so close to Hollywood and the entertainment industry, it was natural to mix my business and entertainment experiences for my newest restaurant concept,” said Dr. Fredrick Jacobs, CEO and Founder of Celebrity’s Soul Food. “We took the idea of what it is like to be a celebrity and how they’re treated to create our service model for Celebrity’s Soul Food. We make every guest feel like a star through our exceptional customer service. Everyone gets the VIP treatment served up with great tasting food that is prepared with the best quality ingredients.”
To further set the restaurant apart from their competitors, Celebrity’s turns to innovation to create elevated twists on soul food favorites. The Celebrity’s menu features Gold-Dusted Chicken Wings, Jerked Jackfruit Pineapple Bowls, Barbeque Glazed Alligator Ribs, and Red Velvet Chicken & Waffles. They also pay tribute to classics with traditional offerings of Fried Chicken, Shrimp & Grits, Cornmeal-Dusted Catfish, and Braised Oxtails. Menu items are prepared from scratch and spotlight local flavors.
Throughout his business career, Dr. Jacobs has leaned on the partnership of his wife, Taja Jacobs. Together, they developed other restaurant concepts in addition to Celebrity’s Soul Food, which they co-founded and now spearhead. Their collaborations extend beyond the restaurant space. They also co-host the “Dr. J the Counselor” radio show and have co-written a book about spiritual marriage, “Do I Want to Stay Married?,” that was released in late 2020, along with other ventures.
