Celine Dion will be the subject of a new documentary film.
Sony Music Entertainment’s Premium Content Division has partnered with SME Canada and Vermilion Films to announce a feature-length project focused on Celine’s incredible 40-year career. Titanic’s theme, “My Heart Will Go On,” was named Best Original Song at the 1998 Academy Awards and has sold over 250 million records worldwide.
The film is directed by Irene Taylor Brodsky, whose predecessors include the documentaries “Hear and Now” and “The Final Inch.”
Celine said in a statement: She will tell my story in the most honest and sincere way. “
Sony’s documentary is not the only movie about the life and career of a 53-year-old singer.
Inspired by Celine’s life, the fictional biography “Align” will be acquired by Roadside Attractions and Samuel Goldwyn Films in the United States and will be released in cinemas in early 2022.
Debuting at the Cannes Film Festival, “Aline” is directed and starred by Valerie Lemercier as Celine-inspired Aline Dieu.
Aline Dieu is translated from French to English as “Aline God”, and the 57-year-old filmmaker describes Aline as 12 years old.
Called “Love Letter to Celine,” the film begins in Quebec in the 1960s with Align’s incredible singing talent discovered by producers who vow to make her a star.
Roadside and Goldwyn said in a joint statement: -A kind entertainer at the cinema in early 2022. “
