Eddie Butita turns 33

Being a celebrity, rather public figure fellow celebs and his fans took to different social media platforms to celebrate him even as he turned 33.

To make his big day even better, YouTuber Eve Mungai hit the supermarket to get him a birthday cake which she intended to surprise him with at his house.

Well, while at the supermarket, Eve bumped into Kenyan musician KRG The Don who was just doing his shopping.

The two then decided to join forces with other local celebrities and visit Eddie Butita at his house with a birthday cake, bottles of expensive drinks and other goodies.

The icing on the cake was a cash gift courtesy of KRG, Eve and company which left the comedian emotional.

KSh 110k birthday gift

TUKO.co.ke has learnt that the group of celebrities gifted Eddie Butita with a whopping KSh 110,000 in cash.

This was first made public by Eve Mungai, in a video seen by TUKO.co.ke’s Entertainment Editor Douglas Baya on her YouTube channel.

Eddie seemed happy and emotional when he received his gifts and the cash from fellow celebrities who showed up at his place.

In September, Eddie asked his fans and followers to keep off his relationship with fellow comedian Mammito.

For a while now, the two have been professing their affection to each other on social media, always hanging out together as they share fun moments.

Leave my relationship alone

However, the comedy couple has been leaving a section of their fans uncertain of whether theirs is a comic play or actually a blossoming love story that will soon lead to a formal betrothal.

It is the doubtful quarters that Butita is criticising, saying his relationship with Mammito should only be a concern for the two of them.

“Kitanda ni ya watu wawili, sioni mnaingilia wapi jamani (It is a two people affair, why do you want to meddle),” he said on the night of Friday, September 24 during NTV’s The Trend show.

The couple has been an item for a while now, going by the occasional romantic social media posts they address to each other.
