  • Ant and Dec reveal what’s being cut from I’m a Celebrity 2021 – digitalspy.com

 September 10

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! is making a few tweaks ahead of this year’s series, and there’s one change that we think fans will be particularly pleased with.

Following the show’s win at yesterday’s (September 9) National Television Awards, I’m a Celeb hosts Ant & Dec revealed that there is “one thing” the show will do “differently” when it returns to Gwrych Castle for a second time.

After the show picked up the win for The Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award, Ant & Dec thanked last year’s cast for making the Welsh series so entertaining, and hinted at what’s to come for 2021.

“[There is] one thing we will be doing differently this series from last year,” Dec revealed. “On launch day our socials blew up saying, ‘Oh my god, you’ve saved 2020, I’m a Celeb is back and it’s amazing!’

“Then on the Saturday, because of COVID protocols, we took a break for our highlights show. Oh, you should have seen our socials then!”

Joking that he and Ant “went from heroes to zeros in 60 seconds” because of the Saturday highlights show, Dec added that they would be doing everything they could to avoid being called “arseholes” again.

“No highlights this year,” the presenter confirmed. “It’ll be a full series.”

The pair previously spoke to Digital Spy Magazine on Apple News+ about the reaction, with Ant recalling: “Oh my God. That’s the best lesson in ‘don’t listen to the bad, and don’t listen to the good’. We got from one extreme to the other within the space of six days. It was hilarious.”

Dec added: “We were feted on the Sunday night that we were the saviours of 2020. And then – oh my God. I looked outside my window for the mob with pitchforks and flaming torches that were going to hunt us down because we dared to put a clip show on the Saturday.”

That’s not all I’m a Celebrity is set to shake up for its upcoming series, with Ant promising last night an even tougher time in the castle this time around. “We are going to try and make it worse for the celebrities this year,” he teased.

Good luck, celebs. You’re gonna need it.
