This summer has seen a flood of big celebrity names to Irish shores as some major new films began shooting in Ireland.

While Matt Damon may have departed, there are plenty of others you could spot while out for a stroll.

The star-studded cast of the new film Cocaine Bear has seen many well-known faces take to Instagram to announce their arrival in Ireland.

And there are even more out there – here’s the pick of the bunch.

Bill Murray

Fan favourite Bill Murray is currently touring the west of the country and is posing for pictures with a lot of fans too – so if you happen to see him you might get that socially-distant picture.

Elizabeth Banks

The director of the film has been in Ireland for a while now and has shared snaps on her Instagram as she travelled around the country.

Banks took to her Instagram to announce the filming for the movie had officially started yesterday.

Christopher Miller

The star who will be producing Cocaine Bears along with banks has been tweeting about his love of the Irish countryside as he familiarised himself with his new temporary home.

Phil Lord will join Miller as the filmmaking duo take on their new project.

The pair are best known for directing and writing the animated films Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, The Lego Movie, as well as directing 21 Jump Street.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson

The Modern Family actor best known for his role as the hilarious Mitchell Pritchett is also a member of the film Cocaine Bears and has confirmed that he too is in the country.

The star has posted pictures in Dalkey as he enjoyed breakfast and captioned one snap of a rainbow peeking through the clouds, “Ok, Ireland. Now you are just showing off.”

Margo Martindale

Margo confirmed last week that she would miss her daughter while in Ireland filming.

Kristofer Hivju

The Game of Thrones star is also set to star in Cocaine bears but has not yet confirmed he’s in the country with a snap.

Keep your eyes peeled, and you might catch a glimpse of the actor.

Brooklynn Prince

The American child actress, widely known for her critically acclaimed role in the 2017 film The Florida Project, has also been sharing snaps from her travels around the country.

She has been to see the Cliffs of Moher and has gone on some very scenic but wet walks in the west.

Keri Russell

The American actress will be gracing Irish shores as well, as she too is a part of the cast of Cocaine Bears.

The actress best known for her roles in Felicity Porter and The Americans will be wandering around Ireland in the coming weeks as filming has begun on the film.

Florence Pugh
