CLEVELAND, Ohio – Every one of the Akron RubberDucks’ 60 home games will include a promotion for fans, from fireworks to giveaways, celebrity appearances and more.
The team recently released its 2021 schedule, which this year is formatted by having teams play six-game series against the same opponent.

Promotional highlights include a pair of Saturday appearances from actors: Jaleel White, who played Urkel in the ABC sitcom “Family Matters,” on June 26; and Jon Gries, who portrayed Uncle Rico from “Napoleon Dynamite,” on Aug. 21.
Eight bobblehead giveaways on Saturday nights cross pop-culture and sports worlds (bobbleheads will go to the first 1,000 fans):
May 8: Cleveland Basketball Night – Shawn Kemp bobblehead
May 22: “Hey You Guys!” The Goonies Night – Sloth bobblehead
June 26: “Did I Do That?” “Family Matters” Night – Steve Urkel bobblehead
July 24: Yoskilleeohdoh!” “The Waterboy” Night – Farmer Fran bobblehead
Aug. 7: “You Put Snot On The Ball?” “Major League” Night – Eddie Harris bobblehead
Aug. 21: “Napoleon Dynamite” Night – Uncle Rico bobblehead
Sept. 4: Cleveland Football Night – Phil Dawson bobblehead
Sept. 18: QuAkron Comicon – Orbit Superhero bobblehead
Also, 10 T-Shirt Tuesdays, 23 themed fireworks nights and other giveaways are slated.
All Friday and Saturday home games will begin at 7:05 p.m. and will feature fireworks. Sunday Family FUNday home games will begin at 2:05 p.m. with the exception of 6:05 p.m. holiday start times on July 4 and Sept. 5. Most Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday home game will begin at 6:35 p.m.
Regular weekday promotions include T-Shirt Tuesday with giveaway and Craft Beer Night, featuring a different brewery’s products. Wellness Wednesday will be paired with White Claw specials. Thirsty Thursday offers $2 draft beer and soda specials. And expect fireworks on Fridays.
