Celebrities are often top-earners. This will often translate to big spending in ways that could appear wasteful and overly indulgent. Extravagant cars with price tags so high that they are unobtainable to the average person are a go-to for most of these celebrities. Despite the glitz and glamour of their lives, some celebrities drive everyday cars, common for people with average wages.

Leonardo DiCaprio-Toyota Prius

DiCaprio is an Oscar-winner who starred in major Hollywood films, including the Titanic and the Wolf of Wall Street. His expansive career that includes directing and producing some blockbusters has seen the actor accumulate a couple of hundred million in net worth.

According to investing, DiCaprio has been sported in a run-of-the-mill Toyota Prius hybrid that retails at $32,500. His choice in the Prius aligns with his environmental advocacy work under the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation that pushes for evolution toward 100% renewable energy. Overall, while Toyota is not as flashy, it is a reliable means of transport that comes at an attainable budget. Still, it gives his life’s mission a voice cementing his status as a leading voice in the fight for climate action.

Cameron Diaz-Toyota Prius

From Charlie’s Angels to Shrek, Diaz has established herself as a household name. The retired Hollywood actor has been reported to earn upwards of $40 million from a single franchise. Despite the success that the 49-year-old old enjoys, she cruises around in a Toyota Prius.

She is reported as having been amongst the first celebrities to get the Toyota Prius. There are paparazzi pictures of the damsel in a Prius from as far back as 2000. Her love for Hybrid cars is probably triggered by how environmentally conscious the Gangs of New York star is.

Warren Buffett-Cadillac XTS car

The chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, an American multinational conglomerate, is known for his frugal ways. Despite being amongst the top wealthiest men in the world, Buffet drives a Cadillac XTS. In comparison, it can be considered a luxury sedan that makes a bold statement while on the road. However, the 2014 XTS only retails at $45,000. It is reported that the 2014 Cadillac XTS was a definite upgrade from the 2006 Cadillac DTS sedan that he had bought for a merger $12,000.

Clint Eastwood-GMC Typhoon

Eastwood is considered the most popular 60’s motion pictures star. In his early days, he appeared on Rawhide, which effectively propelled him to stardom. After this initial success, he was cast into more roles, including the Dirty Harry franchise, which portrayed him as a formidable male figure.

According to Hot Cars, the 1993 GMC Typhoon is considered a fantastic SUV. Back when it came out in 1992, the SUV was supposed to be faster than a Ferrari. With its 4.3-liter V6 engine, the high-performance vehicle can go from 0 to 60 mph in 5.3 seconds. In retrospect, the GMC Typhoon does play into Clint’s persona as it is distinctly American and rugged. It is noteworthy that the car can now only retail for $11,000.

Justin Timberlake-Volkswagen Jetta car

Timberlake is a man of many talents. He is a songwriter, actor, and record producer who has carved out a superstar spot for himself the world over. The A-list celebrity owns yachts and planes, and as such, you would expect him to have glitzy automobiles in his garage.

What’s surprising is the star went for a 2002 Volkswagen as his daily driver, which is essentially his go-to vehicle for everyday errands. The turbocharged 1.8-liter, four-cylinder is a smooth ride on the road with a refined interior and what’s even better is that it only retails for $16,000.
